San Carlos: Corner 2BR/1BA

My first thought on this house at 2613 Howard Street is that it is unremarkable. Time has done nothing to change that assessment, particularly after all the properties I have seen. This is an updated 1,070 square foot rancher listed at $850,000, containing all the basics, with a few amenities thrown in.

The living room, described as “cozy” on the flyer, does boast a 42″ plasma TV, fireplace, and double doors to the deck, and the kitchen has had a good remodel with maple cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and a wine refrigerator. The bedrooms are standard, with either hardwood or carpet and neutral paint. The bathroom, which has a great tile floor, has a textured wall treatment that will not be to everyone’s taste. The realtor boasted about the ¼ bath located out in the two-car garage, but it lacked a door, having just a curtain separating it from the rest of the room.

The outdoor area consisted of a patio and raised lawn area, but was not very large, given that this is a corner lot and you would expect more. The home is in move-in condition, in a great neighborhood, away from any real road noise, and is one of the smaller homes in the area.
