This cute little cottage has been for sale now for many months, but has just been reduced to $499K.  It would be a great bachelor pad, with 2 beds and 1 bath - and a whopping 4 car garage. 

Located at 1312 Grand Boulevard in the Alviso area of San Jose, it is a stones throw away from highway 237 and N 1st Street in San Jose.  

It is only 754 square feet, but has a nice covered patio in the front and the back, with a nicely landscaped, fenced back yard.  It has dual paned windows, and a walk-in linen closet as well. The kitchen is completely remodeled and has stainless steel appliances. 

The home’s facade looks like it came from a small town in the Midwest.  The lot square footage is not listed, but this could be a good buy if there is enough easement left to build an addition either to the side, or up.   The ad also tells us that it has a nice view of the Eastern foothills.

This area, long neglected in Bay Area real estate rallies, has potential due to its close proximity to Cisco Systems and the N 1st street Silicon Valley companies.   Be warned though, this area is close to a landfill and has been known to have some….well…unsavory smells during the summer months.   Candles and incense could probably correct this problem.
